Pre-seated

• Book aircraft on LINE Group “BFA FLIGHT SCHEDULE”
• Check weather forecast
• Check NOTAM
• File flight plan at least one hour before take off
• Check Fuel levels, at least 20l per hour + 10l
• Check that fuel lids are closed
• Contact U-TAPAO 15 minutes to take off
• Preflight inspection
• PITOT PROTECTION OFF
• Both FUEL SWITCHES TO ON (I)(I)

Seated

• Helmet and Headset on and connected
• Mount safety belt
• Test Control surfaces and throttle at extremes
• Adjust trim
• Main switch ON
• Both Magnetos ON (I)(I)
• Call out warning CLEAR PROP – Start engine

Taxi

• Taxi to the entry of the runway
• Check windsock to decide on runway
• Check that runway is free and no aircraft is on Final or Base
• Taxi to Line up on the side of the airfield

At line up

• Set altitude to 160 fete (MSL)
• Check engine temperature 60c (150f) or more
• Magneto test 4000 rpm, no rpm drop more than 200 rpm
• 6000 rpm test
• VERIFY FUEL SWITCHES ON
• VERIFY PITOT PROTECTION OFF
• Fuel Pump on
• Helmet visor down and locked
• Start Departure, Full throttle

Rotation

• Rotation at approximate at 40 mph
• Full throttle until 500 feet MSL
• Decrease to less than 6000 rpm

At base pre final, low pass or touch and

• Fuel pump ON

Post landing

• Fuel pump OFF
• Both Magnetos OFF
• Both fuel switches OFF
• PITOT PROTECTION ON
• Call U-TAPAO, close flight plan
• Log flight in airfield, aircraft, pilot logbook
